Just installed Beta 2... Why is MacOS such a slow install?
Post Body

I haven't Google'd, hoping to get an answer here. I work with and support Windows on the job. I use MacOS and iOS on my personal devices.

After installing Beta 2 of Catalina, can anyone enlighten me on why the update process on a Mac is so much slower than Windows? Windows has progressively increased in background work it does that really minimizes the downtime.

It seems that MacOS is still old school and pretty much has to do everything offline. Anyone that can enlighten me on this?
