macbook m1 not initially connecting to the internet, i have to turn off an on the wifi connection

Hi, I am using my macbook m1 for over 2 years now. Recently for the couple of weeks, when I first open my mac it doesnt connect to the internet although it is connected to the wifi. It has internet access once I turn off and on its wifi connection. Does anyone have a similar problem or know how to fix this?
