I could totally be wrong, and probably am.. But really bored, slightly stoned, and borderline doing research. The Dissect podcast talks about this a tad bit, but I'm thinking even deeper on it.

So it's something that unfortunately cannot/won't be confirmed, but I have a theory about Mac and his idea for "Swimming" in "Circles." I wonder if he subconsciously attached to that concept back in 2014 when making Faces, based on the real ass feeling of living life, fucking up, turning it around and being better, then relapsing/fucking up again, again and again.

On the song "Ave Maria" (which stands for hail Mary in Spanish: to me, this means I'm throwing up a fucking hail mary to break out of this cycle that I keep going through over and over), the chorus is "And sinners stay still, but the merry go round. It all just keeps spinnin,' gotta keep swimmin.' Eat, drink and let the merry go round. Eat, drink and let the merry go round." Meaning, I'm a sinner but at least I'm trying to do something about it, and me doing something about it feels like a "merry go round" and just going in circles, over and over. Also, to me it kind of seems like an oxymoron a bit. Meaning like, "eat sleep, repeat." "Eat, drink and let the 'mary' go round," meaning all we do is eat, drink and do drugs to survive the endless fucking cycle of life.

Then lastly, "Have you found a way out?" meaning, I can't figure out how to deal with this yet, so have you? And if so, will you help me? 💔

Again, I'm probably way off. But like.. Don't make me feel like an idiot if I'm completely off, ya know? 😂
