in Manakins, Mac states “nobody can hurt me if i go inside and close the door,” then in Good News, he claims, “heard they don’t talk about me too much no more, and that’s a problem with a closed door.” i thought it was interesting, and wondering if it’s a possible link between the songs like a callback or something, or if they’re coincidentally connected. two of my favourites anyway
