I got tested and told I had an MTHFR mutation when I was really young and haven't thought about it until now that I'm married and want to start trying for kids. I know how important folate is during pregnancy so I want to make sure I'm doing this right.
I have no idea what my exact mutation combination is since I got diagnosed long ago and my mother no longer remembers. Would it be worth it to figure that out and how would I go about it?
I know that I have been really really deficient in B12 because of some blood testing I had done a year ago (which I no longer have access to) and I definitely have experienced many of the symptoms of the mutation but just haven't had the desire to change things until now. I'm just very overwhelmed with all the information about this and don't know where to start so any guidance would be appreciated!
