One of the first big things I realized about MTGPQ is that the most important resource by far is Mana, and card advantage is garbage if you can't actually play all of your cards. I play a lot of regular MTG, so it was a pretty weird adjustment for me.
I used a lot of lands and mana-assist supports at first, but now that I have 2 fully leveled dual-color Planeswalkers with decent Mana bonuses (Angrath and UW Teferi), I can see that I don't always need them. I'm curious if people at higher levels of play continue to use lands. I already get annoyed when I sink a decent amount of Mana into one, only for it to lose both of it's supports two turns later.
The reason I ask is because I'm planning on buying Wrenn and Six (I need a good green Planeswalker next), and I don't think it's worth it if lands become useless later on. I understand that Wrenn is considered a weak or low tier Planeswalker, but I don't care that much so long as they can operate in a semi-reasonable way. I draw the line at playing useless cards just to make things work, which is why I'm curious about lands.
