Complaint thread. I know, I know. But playing against the Nicol Bolas PW is not fun. Win or lose it feels like more of a chore than a game. His first line ability is so cheap and so effective, it stifles creativity. If I'm not running a creatureless or combo deck, or a deck specifically with Hexproof creatures, then I feel like all gameplay/card interaction goes out the window.

I want to play around with the new cards and their themes; build a pirate deck, build a dino deck, try some of the new synergies, etc. And it's been fun so far. That is, until a Bolas matchup happens. Almost every other powerful effect in the game has multiple answers. You might have one, you might not, but there's a chance. But Sting has basically 2 answers and they limit your deck options. Once Nicol gets 9 loyalty (and with the new matching AI which I generally love), that's it. It's almost always up and unavoidable.

It's gotten to the point where I seriously consider just bailing on the match every time I get paired against a Bolas because why bother?

Thanks for letting me vent. I'm the only one of my pals who plays so I didn't have anyone else to be frustrated at. :P
