Fork and Head Tube

Post Body

I’m doing a budget hardtail build. I have a Specialized Rockhopper 2020 aluminum frame and I decided to make a small build since I have that frame and other components laying around. Only fork that I have is a RockShox with a 140mm travel and the head tube angle of the frame is 68.5. I wanted to know if it’s a good/smart idea to use that fork with that frame. I’ve heard stories about head tubes breaking due to the forks having too much travel. Is it a smart idea ? Keep in mind I won’t b pushing this bike to a whole lot. I might give it to my brother just to try out local mtb trails… to be exact (memorial bike trails) in Houston Tx. If you guys could help or give any tips that’ll b nice ! Thanks !
