For this Assembly term, and henceforth, cross community elections will occur for the post of Justice Minister.

Electoral system

The prospective Justice Minister requires cross community support, ie a majority of the 3 communities. If a tie occurs, AEVI First Preference votes will be used to determine that communities position.

If more than one candidates receives, cross community backing, a runoff vote will occur, with IRV being used if there is more than 2 candidates in the final race.

If no single candidate if elected, the Assembly proceedings will be suspended for 2 days for negotiations to occur, after which another vote will take place.

And

/u/FPSlover1 of the UUP (U)

FPSlover1: Aye/No/Abstain

This vote signals your willingness to grant your communities support for the candidate as Justice Minister. It does not have to be Aye for one candidate and No for another
