Wavelength is an experimental movie from 1967 where the camera slowly moves towards a wall with windows. Hardly anything happens aside from someone coming into frame, falling down dead, and another person discovering their body. This happens for 45 minutes. Add to that that the copy of the movie looks like it was transferred via potato (I know Trumpy would love that.) The movie also has this piercing sound that gets louder so it's like your ear drums are being assaulted.
I think if the Mads truly wanted to torture the crew on the Satellite of Love they would send them some art house experimental dreck. I know it wouldn't make for a great episode but they (the hosts) would be in mental anguish.
Ok disclaimer I'm not saying all art house or experimental movies are bad. It's just certain ones that act very pretentious and parade themselves as art. *shivers* Even bad comedies would feel like Citizen Kane after you watched Wavelength. Watching CSPAN or golf is more entertaining. It's like literally watching paint dry. It's pure audio visual torture.
