When did you stop your 1 year olds with cmpa on formula? What did you switch to? I think I'm going to try and do it today.
My poor baby will be 1 on Thursday. We are in a very remote area and still dealing with the shortages. Soy has given him a rash on his face but that's about it so we had him on similac RTF soy since August. He did the best on nutramigen before the shortages.
I haven't been able to find soy all week and he is back on alimentum. It always made him spitup more, have gas. And irritated his mouth. Yesterday he projectile vomited 4 times in a row. It was shooting out his nose it was so awful and scared him so bad. He has done that several times. Awful gas. Constant biting and drooling. Spitting up again.
I said enough is enough and gave him some pro advance that seemed to show no casein bc it seems that may be the problem bc nutramigen did work so well with him and it doesn't have casein. Its also corn lite. Well he had bad gas over night but that was already happening. Then he had an explosive diarrhea blowout this morning 3 times. It could be switching back and forth idk.
He has been laying here just kind of whimpering off and on so I'm giving him pedialyte instead. He threw up some banana and rice I gave him to try and get some vitamins and dry up diarrhea. He is great with foods though something causes a rash on his face when he eats.
I don't know what formula to give him now that I can't find soy. I almost feel like why keep torturing him lets just cut it out.
But that is so scary. I've been waiting to hear back from our nutritionist for a week.
I feel so helpless I don't know how to help him. I thought we were past all this.
Any advice would be so appreciated!
