Triggered Eating Disorder
Post Body

I'm going to do my best to explain this, I really just need to get it off my chest as it's been weighing on me the last week or so.

I initially went of dairy for my LO at the recommendation of my NP for his reflux issues. That was about 2 months ago, maybe more. It's still hard every single day to not eat dairy. It made making meals extremely difficult since apparently I use dairy quite often and can't afford all the substitutes.

About a month ago he started having green mucus poops so another doctor recommended I go off of eggs, ok done.

A few weeks ago I noticed blood in his stool, the pediatrician said it was from a cut on his anus and that the green mucus poops are fine. I've since been told by a LC that the green is very likely from a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. Baby also started having the mucus right around the time he became drool city which could be the cause. Despite all these professionals telling me explanations, I cut out soy.

During this time I've been getting intermittent stomach aches (with vomitting) and concluded it may be from a latex food allergy so I've cut those from my diet also. Just the other night I had another episode and hadn't consumed any latex food so thinking maybe it's an ulcer, so I've cut out anything spicy now too.

The blood was continuing (small flecks of bright red) so I relayed this to the NP who showed me the cut on his anus. She also said that his reflux being essentially gone could be from him just getting older and his esophagus maturing so I could start to introduce dairy again.

That was a week ago and I'm extremely reluctant to do so. It's like I'm afraid of food, which is rediculous because I'm a plus size girl who loves food. It's like something about the restricting is giving me a sense of control that I no longer have anywhere else in my life.

Edit to add: I'm not sure that this is an eating disorder of if I'm doing what's best for my son since he is still having green mucus poops and small flecks of blood. Seeing things posted on this sub scare me into thinking I need to keep eliminating, like perhaps the doctors just aren't well versed in MSPI.
