I bought a MSI GS65 Stealth thin on January 11th, 2019 from amazon.
It came with a general warranty, so 1 year after the purchase date is when my warranty should end.
Over the summer, I had some fan rattling issues. Looked it up, common issue. Everyone said send it in for a rma, they'll get it fixed and sent right to you.
Right as I was about to do it, the fan fixed itself, no noise, and ran at the right rpm. So I ignored it, saw no point in giving up my laptop for a week.
7 days ago, the fan started having the same issue. This time though, it hasn't fixed itself. So 2 days ago I sent in a RMA request, they got back with me today.. saying my warranty ended on December 6th of last month.
So, what do I do? I'm going to call in the morning, see if I can throw them some money and upgrade my warranty or something. I'm not a tech wiz, so I'm not really wanting to attempt a repair myself.
Long story short, Why does it say my warranty ended sooner than the purchase date? If there's a good reason, I won't be too upset.
