As long as I can remember, but probably since puberty hit 17 years ago (29f) I have gotten huge, painful pimples. They come one or two at a time and like to hit my inner thighs, my underarms, and the crease on my belly (worth noting that I am rather obese,) but I have also gotten them on my labia and pubic mound. I have always lanced them, being fascinated with them, and interestingly, the core is "dead", there is no pain in lancing and I can basically shove a needle all the way into my flesh with no feeling at all. When I take it out, I get a lot of blood as well as pus. They range from pea to small marble in size, and always go away within a week, no antibiotics needed. Used to have a best friend who was even more fascinated by them and would lance them for me, but she is no longer in my life, so one day about 2.5 years ago, I had a particularly painful one on my pubic mound, and went to urgent care to have it lanced. They tested it for MRSA, and a week later they called, apologized for taking so long, and told me I did indeed have MRSA. They didn't give me any meds or further instructions. I have had them a lot less frequently since then, but in the past month and a half I have had two, the second having just been today, so I thought I would see if anyone on reddit had any advice or had gone through similar experiences. I'm curious as to why my symptoms are so mild, and why none of my doctors has done anything about it.
