I believe my radiologist is reading the wrong MRI
Post Body

Long story short I had an MRI at the specific hospital in March 2019, April 2019 and now a new MRI in March 2021.

All three MRIs were of the same lumbar spine. One pre-surgery March 19, post surgery April 19, and now a couple years later March 21.

I’ve been waiting and checking my chart for an update on the test results but he hasn’t posted them. He did however call my doctor that requested the MRI and the report he read to him is almost identical to my 2019 report where I had fluid buildup post surgery but otherwise things fine.

I checked the MRIs myself and noticed that I have a new buldging disc which matches with the symptoms I’ve been having but the radiologist mentioned nothing of it to my doctor. What he did mention was fluid buildup in a potential infection which was the exact report from my last MRI in 2019. At that time I wasn’t even able to walk because I was in so much pain from the fluid pushing on my nerves when I stood.

I called the radiology department but they will not let me speak to anyone and tell me to talk to my referring provider.

What do I do?
