Sylviagony unveils the new Feminist Initiative manifesto
Post Body

Hello everyone!

So as you all know, a bit earlier this month we formed this new party, Feminist Initiative. I am here today to tell you what we stand for. We had already released a manifesto earlier, but as I said back then we have a more detailed manifesto now. I will first lay out some of the policies you will find inside.

First off, we want to put an end to the pink tax. Products targeted at women are often more expensive than the same products targeted at men. We must stop this as soon as possible. Women should not have to pay more than men, especially considering the next policy I want to talk about.

Women earn on average less income than men for the same jobs! We have multiple policies to put an end to this, including, but not limited to, ensuring everyone has the tools to start a business, increasing spending on initiatives which will connect women to careers and requiring men to take a portion of paid parental leave to receive it in full.

We also have multiple policies to improve immigration and asylum in our country. We will make it easier to get refugee status, support immigration to our country, and ensure that all asylees have equal rights and have access to information about those rights.

Another policy you will find inside is one that is very similar to one I have first been advocating together with some other members of the party back when we were in Socialist Alliance. Back then we referred to it as KiwiFood. We will ensure that excess food in grocery stores is first sent to food banks before it is thrown out. It is a waste to throw out this food as it is often still perfectly edible and it doesn't even make the grocery stores any money to throw it out. By sending it to food banks instead we ensure everyone has access to plenty of food.

All these policies together will create a more free and fair society where everyone receives equal rights. But anyway, I have talked enough for today, I will now show you our manifesto where you will find more about these policies and many more.

You can also find our manifesto on our website. Anyway, that is all I have for you today. I have more campaign work to do, so goodbye and have a great day!
