6-8 March: campaign period
9 March: Election Day
9 March: preliminary results

Campaign rules

Each candidate will have two posts for each campaign day.
The campaign day will last from midnight to midnight NZDT.
Registered parties will be allowed one post per mayoral race (for the entire campaign) which they can use however they wish.

Once candidate submission is open, a form will be posted. Only candidacies submitted via this form will be accepted. Independents must submit their own candidacy while local body ticket candidacies must be submitted by the relevant leadership.

Candidate submission

All previously submitted candidates will remain candidates (although they will be permitted or withdraw during the candidate submission period). New candidates must submit their candidacy with this form.
