TheOWOTrongle speaks in Invercargill about rural development
Post Body

"Kia Ora Aotearoa, for too long regions have been lacking behind the urban regions, and with more rurals flocking to the cities for jobs. This is a problem for many rural towns and villages, where population is decreasing. Standard of living is also worse and so the Kiwi Party believes rural development is a key policy in our manifesto."

"Firstly more needs to be invested into rural transport, such as buses or the road itself. This will keep the regions moving and connected so accessibility isn't an issue. We are also pushing for more broadband so Kiwis everywhere can stay online."

"The regions are a rich part of New Zealand and every year after year they are even more in threat of being polluted, this was helped by the green government however more needs to be done, like more clean up crews for parks and beaches around Aotearoa."

"Finally the regions need their products protected over foreign imports, to help local products we will raise tariffs unlike the free-trading National or TOP which would rather foreign imports replace our own. This is concerning as it could mean our industries could lose our jobs to other countries which would further expand the rural-urban gap."

"This is Kiwi Party policy and we will give regions a voice next term!"
