chatting at a local cafe, imnofox spoke to some voters about Liesel's loserishness.
"It's been hard up here in Northland. Low wages round here, and we're just starting off soon with another kid. But I don't know how I'm gonna make it, man? The governments just taking it all away from us."
"That's right, it's been so disappointing. Everyone in Northland ought to be earning enough to live a healthy and safe life. But not everyone is. The minimum wage isn't enough to get by. And everyone was supposed to be earning a living wage. But your local MP chose to form government with the Nats, and she signed off on the government repealing the living wage."
"That's disgraceful. Nobody on my street earns enough. My neighbour has to sell herself to get enough for her kids, ya know? And that's the worry I have, I'm supposed to be working, but I'll have a newborn. I can't afford daycare."
"Did you know we have one of the lowest parental leave entitlements in the OECD? Just 18 weeks. The Greens had secured an extension to 26 weeks, the best practice for the wellbeing of the child. It was even budgeted for. But Labour, under Lieselta's leadership, actively voted down legislation to extend paid parental leave from the measly 18 weeks status quo to the sufficient 26 weeks. I can promise this will be a priority of the Greens next term. It's just unfortunate that without the Greens in government, it just won't happen."
"Alright, I know who I'm voting for. Two ticks Green, ya?"
