Host: “Good morning, imnofox, welcome to the studio.”
imnofox: “Great to be here, it’s a pleasure.”
Host: “Now, you’ve already surprised everybody by standing in Aoraki this election. Why is that?”
imnofox: “Well, I moved to Kaikoura in the last few months, to join some of my family down there, and I’ve been invested in the community ever since. The reality is that the electorate has been neglected by New Zealand First, and the Naitonal Party in general- Aoraki deserves that necessary green change, and I want to deliver that with them.”
Host: “Obviously you’re no longer standing in Wellington, but there’s also no Green candidate. Who should be your successor?”
imnofox: “There’s one candidate, who i’ve worked with for multiple terms in parliament, who can credibly fight for the change Wellington deserves. /u/Goatshedg of Socialist Aotearoa is the only progressive choice for Wellington. It’s a thriving electorate, with great potential- I’ve worked hard over the last three terms to get Wellington the best deal, and I know that /u/goatshedg is no doubt the best person Wellington has to represent their interests.”
Host: “What are the challenges that Wellington faces?”
imnofox: “When I was elected as the representative for Wellington, I cared deeply about Wellington’s struggling public transport infrastructure, along with the inexcusable levels of poverty in areas of the city. I was able to make great progress in combating these issues while I was in government, but under successive neglectful National governments, these problems are getting worse. And after New Zealand First’s changes, and their proposed changes, it’s getting worse for our seniors now too.”
Host: “Do you think /u/goatshedg is up to the job?”
imnofox: “Definitely. Unlike his opponent, /u/goatshedg has a proven track record in parliament of standing up for the planet, and standing up for the most vulnerable New Zealanders. Wellington is the capital city, and there’s no excuse for people working in the city to be unable to afford the rent, or unable to put food on the table for their families. I’ve seen /u/goatshedg in action in whatever community he’s representing, fighting for the interests of his constituents, and I’ve never had reason to be disappointed. /u/Goatshedg’s impressive record of activism and hard work towers over that of his sole opponent. Myself and the Greens back him and his candidacy 100%.”
Host: “Thank for talking to me this morning!”
imnofox: “No worries, it’s always nice chatting to you.”
