Leader of the ACT Party held his final campaign event at the Tauranga Domain, in the largest city of his electorate and his place of residence. On a podium alongside Deputy Leader /u/Mattsthetic and former leaders Roger Douglas and Richard Prebble, /u/Fresh3001 addressed a crowd of thousands who filled up the domain to see the leader of the projected largest party in parliament.

“Welcome all! Tomorrow, I’m sure, will be a historic event; New Zealanders will head to the voting booths and I’ll hope that they will vote for change. It’s all that we can hope for; the damage done by this government is immeasurable and change is the only thing that can pull our country back from the brink. ACT is currently polling as the largest party in Parliament for the first time in history; for the second time in New Zealand history we might have a government which believes both in free markets and free society.

“If on election day ACT receives the largest portion of the popular vote - and I cannot see this being anything but the case - we shall have a clear moral majority. We will seek to form a government with the National Party and return New Zealand to the centre-right governance which provided us with the prosperity that Labour and the Greens seek to destroy. We will cut income taxes to the tune of $2 billion, we’ll repeal the capital gains and sugar taxes, we’ll introduce a youth wage, we’ll abolish restricted trading days, we’ll rejoin the CPTPPA, implement means-testing for all welfare, we’ll raise the age of superannuation, we’ll reform the RMA and share GST with local councils, we’ll pay good teachers more, we’ll liberalise our drug laws, we’ll better rehabilitate prisoners, we’ll continue my health sector reforms, and we’ll do so much more.

“So get out there tomorrow, make the right choice. Vote two ticks ACT, and choose National in electorates where ACT isn’t standing. The future of the country rests on the shoulders of everyone who gets out and votes tomorrow, so make sure you do it. If you value a free society, free markets, and free people then vote ACT.”

The crowd roared with applause as /u/Fresh3001 left the stage to make statements to the media, and to later meet with supporters and constituents who had gathered at the domain.
