Speaker and Labour MP alpine- has gone door-to-door today to wish her constituents a Merry Christmas, as well as a little suggestion for who they should vote for come 6 January.
"I've always enjoyed Christmas time and the feel it gives everybody. Everyone is happier and more welcoming. Under a continued Labour government, I hope to extend the joy that comes with the holiday season to be a daily occurence in my electorate.
"Life would just be better that way! Wouldn't it? You've probably noticed that since Labour has entered office, everything's just been a bit greater. That's no accident. Today I've been talking to residents who have seen their work conditions improve, their pay increase, and their shopping bills beginning to stagnate. Labour lifts the pressure off of those who are struggling, in understanding that everyone benefits when no one struggles.
"Finally, for the kids: I don't want to put a dampener on Christmas, but word from Santa is that if Labour isn't returned to Government, he's putting you on the naughty list. We can't have that, can we? It would ruin the spirit of the season! So you know what to tell your parents...
"Anyways, I better head off to meet some more residents and snack on their food. Merry Christmas, everyone! Have a great time and a well-deserved break. Remember to two tick Labour come 6 January!"
The busy lady stopped briefly for some autographs and photos
