Picture this.

A brief moment in time.

A moment of great joy but a moment of great sorrow.

A man and his supporters. Meeting for one last time.

A crowd stood below a stage.

What stage was that? Well you’ll soon find out.

Green branded, it was. But empty it remained.

A great announcement, they were finding out about.

Suddenly, a door was opened, and BHjr132 emerged. He approached the podium. The record crowd of the 4 remaining Green supporters cheered in glee as the man walked. BHjr’s eyes glowed as he saw the huge crowd in front of him. His pupils quickly contracted as the nerve impulses rushed through his peripheral nervous system and then onto his central nervous system where the cerebellum ordered the eyes to contract in the face of bright lights shining on the podium. As BHjr approached the Green-branded podium that had been erected by an unpaid intern just an hour before, his hands reached out to the sides of the wooden stand to stabilise himself as his nerves increased. He placed his speech down on the stand and glanced at his watch. It read 6:03. “It’s time.” BHjr mouthed as he unfolded the hastily drafted speech. The microphone made a few clicks and clacks as he adjusted it. The cheers of the crowd were drowned out by BHjr’s booming voice as he began to speak.

The crowd settled down and a period of silence resumed. During this brief moment of silence, it felt as though BHjr could hear the individual clicks of his watch. Click. Click. Click.

The night was soon to be interrupted as the wind picked up and the clouds began to release their elixir. The event had been set outside in the beautiful nature of the electorate but this had turned out to be poor planning. An intern rushed out and popped open a Green-branded umbrella above BHjr’s head. The crowd gasped. BHjr popped out his own Green-branded umbrella and held it about the head of the intern who now resided next to him.

Today, I am here to announce that the Green Party is endorsing /u/Youmaton for the electorate of Manukau. Youmaton is a very competent candidate, and the cooperation between Labour and the Green party will surely help all of New Zealand.

Myself and Youmaton have served in Cabinet together before and I can assure you all that they are incredibly qualified. They have a history of delivering for their electorate and I know they will do it again here in Manukau.

Thank you everyone! What a great night this has been!

The crowd waved Green banners and flags. They leapt up in joy as BHjr uttered his last words. Some could be heard chanting “GANG GREEN GANG GREEN”

BHjr left the stage and returned to his eternal slumber. “Enjoy my retirement, I must” he reportedly said to one of his unpaid interns before leaving the event.
