Sir Fresh3001 appeared on NewstalkZB’s Mike Hosking Breakfast radio show to talk about the Northland by-election and his return as the Leader of the Opposition.
Mike: “Good morning New Zealand, and good morning Northland! Today I have with me a very, very special guest -- the man responsible for the resurgence in our Rockstar Economy, Sir Fresh3001! Probably the greatest New Zealand Prime Minister since Sir John Key, I’m absolutely ecstatic to have Sir Fresh on the show and even more excited to see him return as leader of the National Party.”
Fresh: “Happy to be here Mike, appreciate the kind words.”
M: “No problem Sir Fresh. Now, I can’t be the only person who’s very concerned by this coalition of chaos, this shambolic leftist government. The only consolation whatsoever is the fact that it doesn’t involve those Socialist Aotearoa lunatics. But the Greens are going to drag New Zealand back to the stone age, undoing all the great strides you made in growing our economy in the previous term.”
F: “It absolutely is a concern Mike, and I’ve long warned of the dangers of this shambolic coalition of chaos. We’ve got absent /u/AnswerMeNow1 supposedly in charge, while the insidious /u/imnofox pulls the strings. The Labour Party exists solely to be the cronies of the Greens, /u/silicon_based_life thinks with his heart before his head, and United Future has departed greatly from their moderate roots. I’ve got to say, it wasn’t exactly unexpected, but United Future’s endorsement of the Labour Party candidate in the Northland by-election is really a slap in the face to the legacy of the great /u/Kingethan15.”
M: “Well it absolutely is, isn’t it? I mean, /u/Kingethan15 was your long time, loyal deputy in the Liberal Party and he was once the leader of National. He just barely scraped into Parliament in the previous election by defeating the candidate which his party now endorses!”
F: “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, /u/FinePorpoise is the true heir to /u/Kingethan15 in Northland and no endorsement from United Future will change that.”
M: “Too right, too right. Now, this /u/FinePorpoise guy -- he’s a solid National candidate, is he?”
F: “He certainly is, Mike. /u/FinePorpoise is one of the rising stars in the National Party and I’m very proud that he’s our candidate in the Northland by-election. He’s been relentless in his opposition to this destructive government, and he can do even more good work in Parliament. A Northland local since forever, he’s the only real choice here.”
M: “I mean, let’s talk about the other candidates here. So, the only other parties worth mentioning are Labour and New Zealand First. We’ve got the Labour candidate in the lead currently, /u/WillShakespeare99 who, so far, has been playing some kind of Where’s Will or Where’s Wally kind of game, right? As far as I’m aware he didn’t even bother campaigning to begin with! And of course, King Carpetbagger himself /u/Winston_Wilhelmus who has evidently tired of Aoraki and has decided to move up to Whangarei!”
F: “It really is disappointing how easily MPs desert their constituents as /u/Winston_Wilhelmus has here. Even outside of his lack of dedication to his constituents, Winston’s just a really terrible choice. I mean, this is the guy who wants to impose export tariffs on New Zealand’s largest export industries -- it’d cripple our agricultural sector! The man even wants to purchase an aircraft carrier like he’s living some mad, militarist, fever dream.”
M: “Really is a sad state of affairs isn’t it. Well, it’s been a pleasure having you here Sir Fresh3001, I hope we can speak again, and good luck in the by-election.”
