At an open event in Graham Tagg Park, Papakura, Opportunities Party banners have been set up. Tents dot the park, each containing booths where TOP volunteers discuss policy and evidence to inquisitive voters. /u/silicon_based_life is there to speak to locals and encourage them to vote for /u/Nothedarkweb in the upcoming Waikato by-election.

/u/silicon_based_life walks throughout the crowd, greeting people and answering their queries.

Voter 1: "Hey you, silicon. You know UBIs are bullshit right?"

/u/silicon_based_life: "That's a very common criticism but TOP have looked at the evidence, and it's simply not true. In all UBI trials, done across the globe, they have proven to be effective at providing a stable platform for people to enhance their lives and contribute positively to society."

Voter 2: "Aren't you just going to go into coalition with Greens?"

/u/silicon_based_life: "Well, as with all nominally centrist parties, that is a significant threat when voting for us. And I'll admit, it's true that the Greens share a lot of justice and environmental policy with us. Perhaps they've been checking the evidence like we have. However, we in TOP are nervous about the socialist anti-market elements within Greens. We want to see the current liberal system channeled to support all New Zealanders, and the Liberals have the most expertise in that area. It could go either way."

Voter 3: "How will your tax policy affect the three houses I've invested in?"

/u/silicon_based_life: "Well, you'll most likely start having to pay more tax on them. Our tax policy will be geared towards your net income however, so without knowing more details I can't say for sure."

Voter 4: "Isn't voting for /u/Nothedarkweb just a wasted vote?"

/u/silicon_based_life: "This by-election isn't going to change the government or opposition. What it will say to New Zealand is the The Opportunities Party is here, we're ready to go and we have support. Not to bad to put the kicks up some of these big candidates either, especially the Reform guy." chuckles

Voter 5: "You're the worst leader and worst party I've ever heard of!"

/u/silicon_based_life: "But you have heard of me."

Voter 6: "What do you think about the current government?"

/u/silicon_based_life: "They're doing what we elected them to do, and they're doing it reasonably well, I'd say. Whether what we elected them to do is any good, that is a different question, and what I will say is that every TOP policy they don't implement is a mistake."

Voter 7: "No-one expects the Spanish Inquisition"

/u/silicon_based_life: "What? What are you talking about?"
