I’ve never had more on point recs than this sub, so thank you all for that. I’ve had an unpleasant week, so my goal here is to laugh and escape.
This time I’m looking for (in order of priority) funny/witty, paranormal, and low angst. I’d love if it subverts some paranormal trope or has a fresh take and if it’s on Hoopla audio.
I’ve never read omegaverse but if the shoe fits…
CW: not into on page noncon, animal form sex, child abuse, or pregnancy. Children just existing is ok.
To get real weird and specific, I love the large cast in Undead and Unwed series by Mary Janice Davidson (mf vampire couple). I love how wtf everything is in Jennifer Cody’s The Trouble With Dating a Murderer (mm but not romance, adventure?). I think Alexis Hall’s contemp is super funny but haven’t gotten far in Iron and Velvet.
I’m an expert an suspending belief.
I haven’t read TJ Klune’s wolfsong bc the first one isn’t audio on Hoopla so I have to read it with my eyes. Ugh! I’m kidding. It just takes me longer. It is on my list!
Edit: oh and links to threads are good too. I couldn’t find anything but I’m not amazing with romance jargon.
