Ok this is actually just inspired by his work. I’m an Alexis Hall super fan, so I think it’ll be obvious that I like when an author mixes different sexualities in their body of work.
Besides Alexis Hall I’ve read Casey McQuiston, Tessa Bailey (not my fave), and the Vino & Veritas series (different authors) that mixed it up.
I would love if, especially indie authors, who wrote in mm, mf, ff, contemp, uf, etc would mix their stuff under one pen name. I hate losing an author only to find years later they’ve changed their pen name. True story featuring the erotic horror Selkie by Regina Watts. It’s great but disappeared for a while only to find out she’s writing something else under another pen name now. (Yay!)
If I like an authors style I will read anything by them, but I’m a former librarian and am used to reading very widely without much consideration for genre. I can see how readers would like things a little more sorted, like a brick and mortar book store. They can go to the pen name that most closely caters to what they feel like in that moment, since Amazon, and most places that I know of, don’t have a way to further sort an authors books.
What’s your preference on this?
(Unless there is a way to sort a specific author’s books on Amazon, then I’m sorry, pls tell me)
