Hi there!

I used to play GW1 a lot and jumped to GW2 when it came, I explored all of it, I liked some, disliked some other things too, but at the end of the day, I just got bored pretty quickly. I'm actually surprised that I have eight characters at max level (at exotic berserker gear) with profesions from the firsts three months of GW2. What I enjoy the most from GW2 is the story. I always love to play it when an expansion begins. I really liked Path of Fire.

I'm focused on other games, I play WoW and FFXIV from the Vanilla and 1.0 versions. Well, actually dropped WoW in Shadowlands. I loved to play WoW until Pandaria. And I disliked Legion as I dislike WoD, BFA, or Shadowlands. So my path here has ended. And I'm quite happy about that. 0 remote or doubt. So, in the end, I have more time now.

Back in the days, sometimes I had months when I was free and then I tried GW2 again, but I always feel the same: Tons to farm or to pay. That I need to spend a lot of effort before I can enjoy my time here.

First, the story: I need to buy the living story. I have some of the chapters, but I need to buy half of them. I made the numbers. 600gold (I have 150g) or 2400 gems (In my region 35€) to continue my story after my expansions.

Then, the mounts. I have the basic ones and I really like them and how interact with the maps, but I'm stuck into a gold wall in a griffin. I could go for it but if I do, then I can't buy the story.

When I log in, all my characters have their backs full with yellow items, collectibles (which I can't be sent to the collectibles bag), and all sorts of useful items that I don't spend. My bags are little and to improve them is another gold/gem sink.

Then I have no questline or nothing to easily follow. Just a neverending achievement list. I'd like to have something like a sidequest. I can only see a list of items and 3/15 progress. It's something artificial and poor after the story mode of this game.

Now I'm free from FFXIV and I'd like to give GW2 another opportunity. I want to return to Cantha since GW1 and I'd like to have a good experience. Every time I tried to return GW2, I spend hours AFK in Lion's Arch, reading the Wiki about what I should do or require. Then I check the gold I need to farm or pay, and I get discouraged from the game.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I'd like to have some tips or read other opinions. Thank you very much.
