I am a long time ff14 player. I have been with the game since 1.0 and when it changed over to ARR. But I took various breaks through the years due to me being a mother of 2. I have all the expansions and one of my classes is max level as a healer. Coming back now and playing for a month I feel out of place. I don't know terms anymore and leveling other things makes me feel like a complete scrub. I try to play for fun but someone I know who still plays and often tries to help (I guess) often makes me feel stupid with their level of progression and using terms that I don't understand. They often show off all the mounts and how all their classes are max. Even my guild knows so much and the terms escape me. It makes it not fun and feel like the odd person out.
I want to also make friends on an mmo, which for me can be hard at times because I'm socially and online awkward. Which can lead to me playing alone and feeling isolated. I try to talk but people usually ignore me. I want to join a new MMO that has a very friendly community and I can make friends without being some hard-core person.
If anyone has suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
