Low-pop server players, why do you play on your server?

Recently overheard a talk in /s in FFXIV, one guy telling his friend that he was trasnferring to Mateus (The least populated server), but then my dungeon popped so I never heard the rest.
What is the reason you guys would play on a low populated server? Is it the market? Is it the community?
