So someone on a Discord ranted on how "every MMO is a grindy borefest" and I kinda feel like there's a counterargument around here. I'm no hardcore player, so I don't know the nuances of EXP curves, but I did once experience the curve that is "the first year of Maplestory."
In other words, I threw myself into the Ant Tunnel spamming Heal because it's crawling with undead and it's the most efficient EXP grind for a Cleric, even if the zombie mushrooms only give like 20 or so EXP a kill. And the grind consisted of killing about eleventy bajillion of these guys until the next level, and then maybe migrate to a deeper part for the next EXP efficient kill, rinse and repeat. And I was grinding to get Heal's level up so I can get into Party Quests easier. Yeah, uh, never again.
So, in your opinion, what game do you think has an incredibly forgiving grind?
