Is the MMO market currently in a drought?

I’ve played FFXIV and WoW for a while and was on a break with those due to new expansions still pending release. I’m trying to find other good MMOs to play in the meantime but I’ve noticed ppl are typically bored with the current state of them. I also saw many ppl were going back to old-day MMOs like EverQuest and RuneScape, or even SWTOR or LOTRO.
What MMOs are you guys currently playing to pass the time?
