Would Medical Card be except for employment screening in a different state?

Post Body

I have had a Virginia medical card for over a year now for chronic pain due to multiple shoulder and knee surgeries. I just accepted position in West Virginia, who also has a medical program and claims “employers may not discharge, threaten, refuse to hire, or otherwise discriminate or retaliate against an employee solely based on that employee’s status as a registered medical cannabis cardholder.” I don’t plan on relocating to WV because my commute is only about 25 minutes. I was told that I will complete a drug screening on my first day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
