When I was younger I used to think that being able to look up the spelling of a word with relatively little effort might mean I didn't bother remembering how to spell things correctly.
Turns out I was wrong. I noticed recently that things I used to be unsure of I no longer have to look up to know. I mean, there are certainly other factors e.g. I still read books (mostly fantasy fiction). But at the very least having access to an online dictionary within like 10 seconds hasn't prevented me from remembering the things I look up :).
