Darkle watches anime night 1: Yuru Yuri
Post Body

Welcome to the first night of the nightly (probably, maybe not, I'm lazy, probably not nightly) posting of Darkle Watches Anime tm. I'm taking all the animes from this suggestion thread and watching at least three episodes into it and making a brief review.

The first anime I'm reviewing is Yuru Yuri that was suggested by /u/TehFalchion.

As I'm writing this review I've watched through episode 5, which is about halfway through the series, from what I can tell. I probably should have done a live reaction type thing, cause I don't remember much specifics. Oh well, maybe next time. Darned memory.

From what I can tell, the main character is the one with dark pink hair. The joke around her is that she's not really noticeable/invisible. With rocket power boobs? Maybe.

Then there's the purple haired one, who's like the adult of this group. Which seems odd, that there'd be an 'adult' of the group when everyone's so unbelievably young. Seriously, the age discrepancy makes minimal sense. Oh well, moving on.

There's the light pink haired one, who's probably going to die in the next year of cancer. Every other scene, nose blood everywhere. Also ships the purple haired one and the yet unmentioned blonde haired one, for whatever reason. Pretty much Plounge: the anime character.

The blonde haired one... Basically the other personification of the plounge. Thinks that the light pink haired one is like the personification of her manga waifu.

Anywho, the whole series starts off with them using an abandoned room to use as a club room for their newly formed club. The show could have about them just hanging out and stuffs and not much would have changed. The club just serves as the catalyst for these people to hang out.

And hang out they do, a lot. For no reason other to hang out and get into random situations. Which describes this show fairly well, "random". It's basically a fun watch to see how the episode ends not at all like how it starts out. There's no thread of logic with these characters and they go from there.

All in all, it's pretty good, and I'll probably come back to it and finish up after I get through everything else that's suggested.

I'll get to the next review either tomorrow or the day after, probably, please look forward to it. It might be less review and just a stream of thoughts for the next one, cause this is halfway lame as it is. Oh well, progress has to come from somewhere.
