We all know the most common items in video game. The glorious bottles filled with the mana needed to finish off that baddie. The only thing stopping us from glorious victory is a simple piece of cork.
I recently made a mockup of one of these items, for... reasons. I filled it with the colored liquid then applied a cork. I was going to apply stuff to the cork so it doesn't accidentally come off. There's one problem, though.
I can't get the cork out.
It's stuck in the bottle pretty good. All my attempts are met in vain, and I'll probably need something similar to a wine bottle opener to get it back off.
Which leads me to my question. How are games supposed to lead us to believe that the characters of the story drink these mid battle with such swiftness that it takes minimal time? No, there's no way. They don't go, "Hey, can we pause this battle for a bit? I know the fate of the world is in the balance and all, but I need to open this potion." The only conceivable way I can think of consuming the liquid inside is to use their superhuman powers to just bite down on the bottle and drink it that way. Bloody mouth and all.
