There is a major oppression that is ever present in today's society. No one really notices it, unless they are afflicted. This group is brought pain throughout their lives, because of inconsiderate jerks who are in power that chooses to cause them such pain. They probably get some sick sort of pleasure from doing it.
The worst part is, people approach this group of individuals and make comments celebrating their difference. Claiming that they are lucky and whatnot, outright calling them out in public. Some even envy the group, thinking that their unique qualities make them better equipped to live in this world. They ask the same questions over and over and over again.
I am one of who suffers from this. In fact, even today, I was discriminated against and was almost denied doing an activity. Even though I met all the qualifications stated, the person heavily urged me not to do it because of my status.
I am tired of it, and I will stand up, and rise to speak out against the wrongs of the world! Far too long have I hit my heads on random doorways! When I go to shop for clothing, I am tired of being told that they do not carry something in my size, or if they do, it costs so much more because some jerks made it a fashion to wear that apparel, even though it clearly does not fit them. No, I do not play basketball, and the weather is not noticeably colder!
Also, I would like to point out, the top of things are disgusting. There is dirt everywhere! Vending machines are the worst offenders, I swear, people throw buckets of dirt up there just because they can. Also, sweeping sucks. Whoever designed modern day brooms needs to be given a broom a few feet short and be asked to sweep. When I am forced to sweep using a short broom, I die a little inside. Other people don't have to bend down very far to do such a menial task, why should I? I have seen safety videos that continually say to not bend one's back in such a way, yet there is no other effective way to sweep. Mopping sucks too, same reasons.
Cars should be accommodating to tall people, too. Ever put your car in neutral in mid turn, because your knee knocked the gear shifter thingy in such a way? I have. Multiple times. I wouldn't have this problem if I wasn't forced to bend my legs so far to try to fit in the minuscule space. There should be minimum specifications for space, I'm not driving a clown car. I should not be having these problems! I rode in a car with a sun roof the other day, I could stick my head out of the roof just by sitting up straight. This should be a clear sign that cars are way too small.
Showers are also a pain to use. The idea of a shower is to utilize a stream of water over the body to wash over the whole thing at once. The concept of taking a shower is lost on me when the water only hits up to my chest. Bending down to wash my hair and face is a hassle and a half. It wouldn't be too bad if the shower head could be taken off so I could hold it above my head, but noooo. Such marvels of engineering would be too hard, like making taller doorways. Taking a bath would make sense, but bathtubs are just a lost cause. Too cramped and the pangs of claustrophobia sets in.
tl;dr Pants are horrible, they just don't fit well.
