I don’t play other sports games so maybe the pricing is in line for those types of games, but I have played (and spent) a fair bit on games that rely on micro-transactions. I don’t mind micro-transactions and would likely spend money on this game but I find the pricing so bad I’ve stayed NMS.
For example in world of tanks, a free-to-play game that I had spent years playing and spent a ton on over that time, a high tier premium tank might cost $50-80 not on sale. In this game a Trout would cost over $400 assuming you bought the largest most cost efficient bundles. That seems ridiculous for a single card. And the pricing seems even more outrageous when you consider you payed $60 dollars for the game if you bought it when it first came out. SDS doesn’t entirely rely on micro-transactions like F2P games do.
So I’m kinda wondering what kind of people drop that much into a game. By my estimations it would take thousands to complete the live series if you bought all the stubs needed, that’s just mind blowing. I would consider spending money to complete my live series, but I can’t bring myself to pay that much for some pixels.
