MLB The Show Content Creators - A New Player's Guide

Post Body

With the new game just a few days away, and with all of the new Xbox players, I wanted to highlight some of the content creators that I personally enjoyed during the MLB 20 cycle. I was new to DD last year, and watching streamers helped me stay interested and get better at the game. I broke them down into a few categories to steer people in a general direction.

Disclaimer: This is not a comprehensive list, and it is a personal opinion. Feel free to comment who you enjoy watching in the comments!

Personal Favorite - My personal favorite streamer is DaddyDimmuTV. He and his chat are always top-notch entertaining, though there is quite a bit of 18 humor. He plays mostly Battle Royale (at least of late) but I found him to be the best streamer to watch while I played to get some great laughs.

Top-Tier Players - I know many more streamers fall into this category, but these are consistent top-50 Ranked Seasons guys I enjoyed.

- Cbrev

CBrev is as wholesome as they come in terms of content creators. He is insanely good at the game and puts out great YouTube content to help players get better. He has a bit of a reputation in this sub as "the guy who got me to World Series" but its true. Watch this man if you are new to the game.

- trumanation

trumanation is a consistent top 50 player every season. His gameplay is insane to watch and always has a chill chat. For those of you like me who stays up far later than we should, trumanation streams late at night typically and you will learn a lot from him.

- Serenity

Serenity is the young gun of the group. But, he is a gem to watch and who wouldn't love his massive fro? Serenity is an absolutely dog at this game and believe he is poised to really grow this year.

- YourFriendKyle

Kyle is another one who if you are just starting out, he will show you the ropes. He was the first streamer I watched and is probably my longest follow on Twitch. He has ventured out a little during the off-season, but I expect he will be back and better than ever for the new cycle.

Working the Market - For those who don't know, one of the best ways to make stubs consistently is flipping cards on the market. This will help you finish collections and get the best cards in the game without relying on pack-pulls.

AnceLarmstrong - This is the only streamer I put in this category because he basically showed me everything I need to know in order to make stubs. Ance has a fun community and takes you step by step in things to look for when flipping cards. After watching his videos, I had amassed enough stubs to finish my collections and everything was made so much easier.

Pure Entertainment Mixed With Great Gameplay - These are players I could sit and watch for hours. They are all amazing at the game and have fantastic communities.

Koogs46 - Koogs mashes at this game, but his dog Rosie always steals the show. Koogs, like everyone in this category, has a welcoming presence that makes you want to stick around.

KevinGohD - Kevin was voted as the MLB The Show communities favorite streamer last year. That is a well deserved honor. Kevin, unlike everyone else listed here, does not stream on Twitch, but does on YouTube. Watch him attempt for 12-0 in Battle Royale, you will not be disappointed.

QuashTag - Quash is typically an early streamer which is great for when I am bored at work. He has a lot of fun playing the game. This year he made his home stadium Polo Grounds in the rain. Toxic? Maybe a little, but he owns it and just has fun with it. A good reminder that this is just a game and we should all have a little more fun with it.

RealShelfy - Shelfy easily could be in the top-tier players, but his streams are just so much fun to watch. He is great at giving his sports opinions (though all of these people are also, I just like seeing Shelfy get so passionate about things sometimes lol) Shelfy will not disappoint if you are looking to enter the community.

ashley_sanders - I found Ashley through the Content Creator's League and let me tell you. She is right up there with Cbrev in terms of quality gameplay and wholesomeness. Her chat is always so supportive and she is a blast to watch. What more could you ask for in a community?

BenVerlander - Yes, he is Justin's brother. No, it is not a major part of his image. Ben preaches positivity in his streams and he absolutely kicked my ass when we played. He is a new member of MLB on Fox as well and watching his growth this past year has been amazing.

Smaller Channels Poised For Growth- Here, I will just list some content creators that have smaller communities right now, but have always been a blast to watch. With all the new players coming, I hope some of these channels grow. I apologize if I put someone in this category that might not be viewed as a "smaller" channel, but they are other personal favorites I enjoyed watching and hope they do well this year.

- RealPhoenixTV

- Daeholee_Grail

- TheScann

- Healy6

- GracefulSwann

And with that, I have done something far more than I originally planned to do, but I am zoned out for the day at work and hopefully, this helps some people! Again, feel free to add other personal favorites!
