I've played 2019 in the past and really liked it, but I only had time to really enjoy RTTS. I never messed around with diamond dynasty, but I'm curious about it. I've played Madden quite a bit, and got sucked in so much I ended up buying packs. I want to avoid that again so I won't go broke. Is it possible to still build your own team without being a pay to play person?

If I am free 2 play, will I get matched up online and have to play stacked teams with players 4 x better than on my team? Or is the match system pretty well balanced and knows to pair you up with a person that has a similar OVR team? Thanks in advance. Also, I'm getting the Robinson package and I believe it comes with 15k stubs. Since I want to be free to play, is there something you would recommend spending those 15k on? I don't know if they have starter packages or something like that. Thanks in advance for the help!
