It has been 5 long years
I began my run at the show when I bought the show 16 on sale, a few months after it released. I remember playing on beginner and the joy I felt hitting constant bombs off only fastballs right down the middle. However, that joy turned to pure rage once I started playing on regular difficulties an online etc.
I noticed I couldn’t rise up to hit a high fastball, or an inside fastball for the life of me. I had the hardest time telling apart a low fastball that is still very well in the zone, and one completely in the dirt.
So I did what most do, go on YouTube and watch tips on hitting etc. well for 5 shows in a row now I have practiced all the common tips (wait for your pitch, custom practice, pci setups, etc) and I am still ass at this game. I still can’t tell a low hittable fastball from one in the dirt. I still can’t rise up to hit a high fastball or even inside fastball consistently. My plate discipline was never bad, that HAS improved but it doesn’t really matter if I’m still ass at hitting. These years of coming back every new Show release and hoping for improvements with more practice etc have taught me a crucial lesson. Sometimes in life you can try and try all you want, but you’re just not going to improve that much at it. I’m essentially just as bad as I was in the show 16. Thank you for coming to my vent
TL :DR- I was ass at the show in 2016, I am still ass at the show in 2020
