Hitting with flick vs stride analog.

Just watched a youtube video about analog hitting and the dude said if you set it on "flick" it will automatically choose the correct swing for you (power, contact, normal). Anyone know if this is legit? Can you still hold down first if you want a power swing? This just seems a little wonkey. Need info from an expert on The Show.
