I in no way am trying to say that graphics help determine the quality of the simulation of baseball or make gameplay fun or bad, but there's only so long it can be excused before greed and laziness become front and center. It's one thing for the game to be a bit behind graphically, but the way the game currently looks, it wouldn't surprise me if the final version of the Xbox 360/ps3 could run it at 30 frames a second, and that to me is just inexcusable in the year 2024. And if you think I'm overreacting, I beg of you, load up diamond dynasty, do a showdown, and actually watch the cutscene before playing. When actually in engine, a lot of players look like uncanny valley freakshow creations of frankenstein, not human beings, and the best way to see this is when the camera does a close up shot of the pitcher you're about to face off against in showdown. The way the faces look and the way they move... shiver it's like they tried to clone the players and the cloning process failed 3 quarters of the way through, so they came out with the faces of an AI Mashup instead of a real face, it's actually so weird to look at lol. Players should NOT look like that in any sense, they need to work on using next gen technology and dropping base model Xbox ones and ps3s.
