DD - XP Rewards a fraction of what they used to be

Post Body

So, the title basically speak for itself. I've found myself mostly playing DD over the past few months. I don't typically play online, I usually stick to the single player, offline modes, particularly Player vs CPU. For the longest time this was the easiest way for me to rack up XP and rewards. Playing with the same lineup, with the occasional addition of a new player I unlocked, I could easily rack up 10,000 XP per game on All-Star difficulty.

These last few game, however, I've noticed that my XP rewards per inning have been reduced by almost 20%. If I had a big inning, I could expect somewhere around 1,000-2,000 XP per offensive inning. Now, with a similar offensive performance, I'm getting around 300 XP per inning. When pitching, what used to be 600 XP innings are now around 150.

I haven't changed any settings or difficulties, everything has stayed the same. I consider myself a casual player, I dont get too deep into the weeds of DD, so there may be something more at play here that I don't know about.

Has any noted something similar? Is there some sort of mechanic built into DD that I don't know about that's causing this? These low rewards all of the sudden are making it a little too grind-y for me.

It may be worth noting I've noticed similar results playing on mini seasons as well.

TIA
