RTTS rookie contract

So I have played all 6 seasons of my rookie contracts in rtts (I have simulated some games yes) but whenever I I tell my agent I want to be traded, he always tells me I am committed for 6 seasons? Is this like a glitch in the game? I haven’t signed a new contract yet, but it still keeps telling me I am in my rookie season still even after playing multiple seasons.
