Oil leak

I have a 1998 vw gti mk4 agu engine with 235000kms on it. I’ve noticed a little bit of oil in my coolant reservoir but no coolant in my oil. What could be causing this? I know the oil cooler could be potentially causing this as apparently it’s common with VWs.
