Here is a link to a photo project initiated by CNN, which sent ten transgender and non-binary persons around the United States a disposable camera in the weeks leading up to the recent election.
The intent behind this project was "to document the precious moments that define their lives."

The photos taken and the accompanying quotes from the participants are deeply personal and heartbreaking. The stories behind each one are all-too-familiar, and it may be painful to read, but I encourage you to check it out.
It's a crime that we have to explain our existence to others. But that is the point we are at in this time.
