Just so you know, I've updated the Transgender Clothing Sites sticky post above, as I do all the other stickies as I get new information that fits their purpose.

I'm also making a change to the basic premise of this sub.

When I began it back in June, I aimed it at the local Michigan transgender community since I saw a void. While there are some fine organizations in our state, and occasional events, many trans people are either unable or simply not involved with them. I wanted to provide a space where we (Michigan trans) could come, hang out, chat, inform, meet and help one another. An online club, of sorts.

But I've received several queries over these past few months from people outside the boundaries of Michigan asking if they could join and participate in our little group. After some thought, I decided, "Why not?"

This will not change the mission of this sub. I will continue making my own posts based upon subjects and information I find helpful or that may be of interest to others here. But now, with an expanded membership base, it will bring in some fresh ideas, new perspectives and most of all--grow the solidarity of the transgender community nationwide. Or even worldwide!

So, if you know of anyone outside the Wolverine State who may want to join us, please tell them we do so with open arms! Have them introduce themselves so we can get to know them better.

I always love meeting new people and making new friends. And this may be the beginning of some beautiful friendships!
