SE Drivers - how do you manage your charge card?

Ok it’s a real silly question but I’m struggling here. Only had the SE for month and already been caught out a few times not having the card to hand.
Almost all public chargers here require the NFC card to start/stop the charge, occasionally they have a QR code that can be scented in the mini app.
Problem is that wife and I keep stopping the charge and sticking the card in a pocket.. instead of leaving it in the car.
Is there a trick or we just need a kick in the ass?
