The Republic of Volta has announced plans to create a third army command, called the Western Command. This decision has been made after Burkina Faso's military was disbanded and its assets seized. he military will increase in size by 7100 personnel:

- 7th Light Infantry Battalion (1500)

- 3rd Field Workshop (450)
- 3rd Field Operations Center (200)
The Voltaian Government is also looking to purchase weaponry and vehicles from foreign governments.
